Great place to work

Pros: Great work environment and company culture. Cons: Can not think of any.

Sales

Pros: Amazing place to work. The on-site amenities are unbelievable. The company sells top flight gear and has an amazing training program for sales engineers. Cons: There really aren't a lot of downsides. Sometimes the hours were a little odd when working on special projects, but even that was pretty tolerable. Advice to Management:

Moving on up!

Pros: I don't say it nearly as often as I should, but I love my job. I. Love. My. Job. I couldn't ask for a better place to work. This has been one super awesome week in Sweetwater history. (During the 6 1/2 years of my own personal experience anyway, Sweetwater has been breaking ground for a long time!) Not only did they make a huge

Sales department

Pros: The best things about the job are the income potential and access to great deals on equipment. Of course, you likely won't have time to use it! Cons: It's a really demanding schedule, a very long work-week. Although we are called "sales engineers", we're treated more like factory workers. And the fighting between sales people o

It's about the color of your collar here

Pros: You've likely heard about the free arcade, the cafeteria, the slide, and the fitness center. Yes, these are real benefits to working at Sweetwater. If you're in sales, you have access to an instrument lending library, tons of incentives, and a comfortable working environment. There's a DVD/video game lending library open to all

Unbelievable facility!

Pros: Beautiful facility! Great people! Nice cafeteria! Cons: Corporate waits until the last possible moment to add necessary staff. At the breaking point of the current staff!! Advice to Management: Your fabulous vision needs to move forward before the breaking point!

You are responsible for your own success here

Pros: For anyone in the audio field that has an outgoing personality that doesn't mind calling strangers to talk about music gear, it's fantastic. You can play video games during your lunch break and management for the most part does not micromanage. They will guide you to tell you what will help your business, but as long as you do

Great Place to Work

Pros: The company really takes care of their employees. There are great opportunities to grow as a sales person. If you put in the effort and work how they recommend, you will make money and grow a business. Not to mention you get to talk with people around the world about your ultimate passion. Not having to work Sunday's is a huge

It's a call center, cube farm in the worst part of the country BUT...

Pros: You get gear at cost and the facility is state of the art. They have a lending library to try out gear. The training is great and I like the mgmt. They are there to help and Brad and Dave give great advice. If this company were located anywhere else or we could do our job remotely (totally doable), it would be tolerable. Cons:

Sales Engineer

Pros: Extensive training, autonomy, solid company, the more you put in, the more you make Cons: Commission sales; up and down.

Fast paced

Pros: The campus! Plua, the people are incredibly smart, like-minded, musicians who are genuinely good people. Cons: The pace. Many thrive under the pressure but some can't keep up. Advice to Management: There are some positions that could pay a bit more to hold onto quality employees.

Great Company!

Pros: You get to be around the newest and greatest gear, you're one of the first in the country to find out about new product releases, the on-site lending library lets you take home gear and try it out, on-site dry cleaning, DVD Library, cafe, and game room. The systems used at Sweetwater (database) is a phenomenal asset, quick and

Sweetwater is a great place to work. I've loved my time here.

Pros: I am surrounded by some of the smartest people on the planet, and management that consistently makes good choices. Cons: If you aren't comfortable with making lots of phone calls and have a deep knowledge of music gear, this isn't the job for you. Advice to Management: Stop using the "pricelist costs." Base profits and commissi

Great Company With A Little Room For Improvement

Pros: If you're someone who likes music and/or music technology gear or other instruments you'll enjoy selling with Sweetwater. Unrivaled back-end systems set Sweetwater far ahead of the competition. Very nice facilities with a focus on employees. You can earn as much (or as little) compensation as you like. It's all up to you. Cons:

One of the best companies ever

Pros: You are empowered to essentially run your own business. However, you have the unending support of the management team. The entire Sweetwater building is pretty much built for it's employees. Cons: Some of the senior sales guys can be jerks. A healthy portion of the sales team is nice and willing to help, some guys though are ju

I currently live here. I've never had any issues with the "college kids." They are all in the very back of the complex, and I'm in the front. The staff is very friendly, and quick to make a repair when needed. The only issue I've ever had was german roaches. Pest control does come out every other week, but it doesn't seem to help muc

I've learned a lot in the five years I've worked here

Pros: flexible hours and work schedule Cons: few opportunities for promotion or advancement Advice to Management: identify ways for all levels to advance

It's a one man show - Chuck, Chuck, Chuck.

Pros: Nice building. State of the art listening theater. State of the art studios. Comprehensive continuing education for sales engineers. Quick response on customer inquiries. Fairly good internal sales system (when it is running). If you're into music, then it will seem like the best place you've ever worked. When it comes down to

Challenging and rewarding; the best company I've ever worked for.

Pros: If you are into Pro Audio and music, then this job offers you the opportunity to work in some way with the best gear available. Professionals in a very non-professional industry.

Pros: 100% commission, you decide how much you wish to work and/or earn. Ft Wayne cost of living is close to the lowest in the nation which can be attractive for young couples and/or families.
