Originally, the building served as a knitting factory for the Globe Company and its founder, Eilert Clements, an inventor, who developed the concept of tailored underwear. The seven foot windows have been historically replicated to allow abundant natural light into each apartment. The original timbers have been left exposed to add spectacle to the more than 20 distinctive floor plans.
