I have lived at the left bank for over 2 years now, and really enjoy it. We have an apartment that is very quiet, and the only noise we ever hear is from the hallway occasionally. Tip: we are on the inside of the building, facing the courtyard, which I think is a lot less noisy - never hear trains or anything even though we are liter
