The Stagecoach Apartments are building on a rich history of the settlement of New Mexico. Travelers were able to make it to their destinations by working together and forming community Safety in numbers. Campsites were formed at dusk a "circling of the wagons". The motor inns of the 50's allowed motorist a modern day campsite where rest and rejuvenation could occur. These communities helped form bonds and friendships that strengthened the individuals. The Stagecoach Apartments is building on this history by developing 4 small courtyard "neighborhoods" that encourage resident interaction. The first courtyard courtyard is "The Stagecoach Court" which is formed by the existing motor inn buildings. This sheltered courtyard is for inward contemplation and small gatherings. The sites's historic water well forms the second more urban courtyard, "Plaza Del Pozo". The community building is located at the heart of our community in the, "El Pueblo Court" provides a daycare center, computer room, social service coordinator, kitchen and great room where resident involvement can take place. The "Ribera and Tonita Couryards" form two distinctive activity zones for resident families. A safe place to let your kids play within site of your patio or front door!
