Park Street School
Historical Park Street School offers 30 apartments to people who are seniors or disabled. Located in the heart of Kennebunk, itís less than a 1/2 mile from stores, banks, coffee shops, parks and Kennebunk Free Library. Less than 5 miles to the beach.
The Park Street School property has been used as a school site since 1833, when the Baptist Society built Union Academy, which became the townís grammar and high school until it was destroyed by fire in 1870. A second school was built on the site, which operated until the early 20th century.
The Colonial Revival-style school originally housed grammar and high school students until a new high school was built in 1939. Two additions built in the 1950s and 60s expanded Park Street School, which educated elementary school students until its closure in 2005. The building is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
As you search for your perfect apartment, please keep in mind that rental rates (including specials and discounts) and availability are very fluid in the apartment industry. Based on many factors, the rental rates (including specials and discounts) and availability can actually change not just daily, but hourly, if not even more quickly. While our advertisers do take steps to keep their information current, the rental rates or availability you may find here now at ForRent.com may not be the same as when you contact the communities.
