There are a ton of dogs that live in this complex, which I enjoy because I have a dog, too. Unfortunately, there are always a few bad apples that don't clean up after their dogs' mess, but Angel (one of the crew members here) takes it upon himself to clean up after those people, and I cant thank him enough.

Deceptively Underwhelming
Girlfriend and I were on the search for an apartment and on paper Gables seemed to check all the boxes. Close to stores, gyms, not too far from the beach, and appeared to be tucked away from the red light Midway area.
It's been 19 days since move-in at the time of this review and we have so far had over $1500 worth stolen from us, including several packages disappearing within minutes of delivery and one of our cars being broken into and ransacked. The complex offers secure lockers for packages... but despite including it in delivery instructions we have only ever had one package actually go to the locker as most drivers don't know or care. We've talked to management at least 5 times about coded doors being left propped open which they said they'd handle or send out a mass email about, but nothing has been done.
The apartment itself is rather nice and cozy once we got it set up, but minor details were imperfect. On move-in there was an apartment condition form to fill, which I included everything I found so they wouldn't try to claim security deposit. One nuisance the person above us, whose footsteps are so loud it sounds like they are trying to stomp through the floor with each step. Laundry rooms smell like vomit and consistently have wastewater on the floors and it costs nearly $5 to run a single load through washer and dryer. Overall disappointed with the experience and will be considering cutting losses and terminating the lease early. We do not feel safe or secure enough with the events that have happened within just a few weeks of move-in

Rude Management, terrible neighbors
Rude, incompetent management Dog poop and litter all over the place you can hear your neighbors footsteps and anytime they use their plumbing Laundry room is frequently flooded with sewage water Constant construction from plumbing leaks I moved in 3 months ago and it has gotten progressively more unpleasant

Maintenance is always friendly and quick with repairs though some need to be redone. Jillian in Management is responsive, friendly and professional, and really seems to care about the residents. I see and appreciate upgrades and community maintenance (tree trimming, window washing); though the hot tub (all jets not working) and fire pit both need attending and it would be nice if we had access to the game room without having to request a key only during office hours. Love the hours for the gym... and pool deck. Is very nice to have a late night relaxing jacuzzi soak. Bike storage is also a big plus! Love the convenience of the trash chute, if people didn’t clog it and then leave their trash next to it.

overall i love Gables, i have lived here for over three years now, noise level is always low and love my actual apartment, i love the open floor plan and my amenities. Whenever maintenance needs to be done they are pretty quick. the pool, jacuzzi, and gym are a plus. I think the only thing they can work on is cleaning the hallways and staircases more, however i feel like it is getting better.
