We moved into Regents last month as my husband is attending Business School at the University of Chicago. We have three young children and moved here from a very nice five bedroom house in the Atlanta suburbs... and needless to say were extremely nervous about such a huge lifestyle change. I also was worried because many reviews were
I'm living in a furnished apartment ...
I'm living in a furnished apartment at RP for a few months, and have almost no complaints. The art in the apartment is strangely chicken-focused, but everything is comfortable/works as appropriate.
I lived at Regents Park between ...
I lived at Regents Park between 2000 and 2002, so my review is dated. It was expensive but I needed the mental boost of being in a nice building on the lake after separating from my wife and son. The main complaint was with the "central air" that only came on during the LATE spring and summer months. The staff was more than wonderful
My work is located on the University ...
My work is located on the University of Chicago campus, and so we have many several-week-stay visitors that we put up in Regents Park from time to time. Kim is in charge of corporate accounts- and she is very good to us. She remembers the guests who stay there, and their preferences and accommodates us every time.We usually get 2 bed
Regents was a good place to live-- ...
Regents was a good place to live-- if you have to be in Hyde Park. My boyfriend and I lived there for a year while he was going to law school, and I didn't have any complaints. The employees were always nice and responsive. I liked the common room and the fact that the #6 bus stop was really close. The Market in the Park was often ti
First, let me qualify my 5 star ...
First, let me qualify my 5 star rating: "this place is as good as it gets" as far as renting an apartment in Hyde Park. I'm sure there are better places in Chicago, but if you're going to live in Hyde Park, then this is the place to be! I've lived in Chicago for almost 6 years, and I've spent4 of those years living in the dorms at t
After living in this high rise ...
After living in this high rise for two years, I feel that I can write an adequate review. If I were to live in Hyde Park again, this would definitely be the place I'd move into.Things I'll miss:-the views!-never felt unsafe anywhere in the building, at any time-Market in Park minimart an elevator ride away -central heat/AC (not too c
The previous review is undeservedly ...
The previous review is undeservedly harsh. To address some of the issues,1) The building has DirecTV. Hate it or love it, you're choice.2) Construction did tend to run unbearably long at one point but has since been completed and the new lobby/elevator waiting areas look great!3) Rents can be a little pricey, but hey, it's a luxury b
One of the best in the area
This is one of those muti storeyed apartment complex. They have furnished and unfurnished apartments. The view of lake Michigan is breath taking.... ofcourse the rent is more for the lake view. They have a good security system which is essential in that part of town. Major drawback .... visitors have to find road side parking which i
