How can I choose where to live in Austin?

This area of Austin began growing in the 1970's and is still expanding. Southwest Austin is close to Lake Austin and Lake Travis, so it is an area with a lot of natural appeal and greenery. Manicured walking paths, biking areas and a botanical garden all add to the atmosphere here. The access to the downtown area is still good, but one won't feel as though they are right in the city itself. Tree-lined streets and well kept neighborhoods are the defining characteristics of the Southwest Austin area, making it a terrific place to live.

The "Circle C" neighborhood accounts for 4,000 acres of the area and many recreational amenities are located there including playgrounds, a soccer complex, volleyball and basketball courts, a large swim center and an 18-hole golf course. Oak Hill and Western Oaks are other communities in the area.

There are wonderful apartment options in this area, ranging a good deal in both size and price. Apartments in Southwest Austin, Texas can be a little more difficult to come by, but the good neighborhood with its many amenities really do make it worth a little bit of extra searching. There are some nice, single-level apartments in the area, and some even come with a private yard and parking as well.
