What cities comprise the metropolitan Boston area and what are the population

| April 25, 2012 | 0 Comments

The area of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts that surrounds the city of Boston is known as Greater Boston, the tenth-largest metropolitan area in the country. For those who enjoy a bustling city atmosphere full of energy, excitement and people (over 4 million at last estimate) one of the many New England/Greater Boston apartments that are available in the Greater Boston area would be an ideal place to call home.

The principal cities of the Boston metropolitan area include Boston, Cambridge, Framingham, Nashua, Newton, Peabody, Quincy and Waltham. The most populated of these is Boston itself; in 2006 there were an estimated 590,000 people living there. Nashua and Newton, on the other hand, come in at less than a fifth as many people (around 85,000). When searching the listings of rental apartments Boston and the cities around it have to offer, keep in mind how large of a community you want to be a part of and settle in the best place for your needs.
