Fruit of the Week: Pomegranate

Fruit of the Week: Pomegranate

Pomegranates are a beautiful and nutritious fruit in season during the Autumn and Winter months. They have been eaten around the world for years, yet haven’t seen much popularity in the United States. This yummy fruit is unique but there’s no reason to steer clear! Are you looking to incorporate the pomegranate into your diet? There are many ways to include this juicy fruit into everyday recipes during the cooler months. The pomegranate is even versatile enough to be the main ingredient in a cocktail.
  • Try topping a spinach salad with red onion, goat cheese, walnuts and pomegranate seeds.
  • Create your own martini by mixing pomegranate and cranberry juice. Add raspberry vodka and a splash of orange liqueur. Garnish with pomegranate seeds.
  • Use pomegranate to give your pork tenderloin a boost.
