Thanksgiving Ideas for College Students that can’t go Home

| May 19, 2011 | 0 Comments

Thanksgiving is normally a time for families to be together and enjoy each others company. If you’re a college student that can’t go home for Thanksgiving it might be hard on you. I’ll give you a few tips that can help get you through your Thanksgiving holiday.

  • Decorate your dorm/apartment with Thanksgiving décor. Hang a reef on your door to give walking into your place a warm homey feeling.

  • Send your loved ones Thanksgiving cards to let them know your thinking about them. Write a little message in the card of why you’re thankful to have them in your lives.

  • If you have any friends that are in the same boat as you, invite them over for Thanksgiving dinner. If funds are low bake the turkey and have your friends bring sides and desert.

  • Volunteer at a local place in your community and serve Thanksgiving dinner. Being able to give during the holidays is an activity many enjoy.
