“Making a Difference in America” Campaign

“Making a Difference in America” Campaign

At For Rent Media Solutions™, helping others is how we do business. Our company’s effort to give aid has extended beyond the traditional business-to-business and business-to-consumer relationships. Several For Rent Media Solutions offices have volunteered their time to local charities and organizations. Whether it’s a food bank, auction or a community involvement project, For Rent Media Solutions strives to MAKE A DIFFERNCE IN AMERICA.

While all For Rent Media Solutions offices have made efforts to improve and assist the community around them, two offices in particular stand out, Denver, Co and Austin, Texas.

In 2006, For Rent Media Solutions co-sponsored the Denver Rescue Mission, a charity golf tournament which helps the hungry and homeless. This was the third year the company co-sponsored the event and was able to raise $120,000 this year alone. The Denver office also supported the Apartment Association of Metro Denver by donating a suite in the Pepsi Center sports arena for their annual charity auction. The winning bid sold for $2,500 and all funds raised went to Family HomeStead, a local organization that provides shelter for homeless families.

The For Rent Media Solutions office in Austin, Texas, decided to lend a helping hand to the less fortunate in their area by financially supporting and walking in the “SafePlace Walk”, a fundraiser for victims of family violence. The office also participated in the Austin Apartment Association’s “Toys for Tots” Drive. During this event, the Austin For Rent employees contributed to “Operation K.I.S.S. (kids in need of school supplies). The office designer created a logo for the drive which was used through the campaign. The office also dropped off “Operation K.I.S.S” boxes at local apartment communities to collect school supplies.

Many For Rent employees have made considerable contributions to breast cancer research. For Rent’s Norfolk, VA, office participated in the Komen Race for the Cure®. The group raised over $1,500 for the cause. The Austin office also sponsored and participated in the first annual “Pink Ladies Golf Tournament”, with all proceeds going to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Organization. In addition, two For Rent employees in Denver walked in the “Avon Walk for Breast Cancer”, and raised $5,000 in honor of a former employee who was diagnosed with breast cancer in early 2006.

All of our offices have dedicated countless hours of community dedication to charities in their specific area. As a result of the devastating effects of Hurricane Katrina, many For Rent Media Solutions offices ran “Katrina Relief” fill ads in their publications. The ads encouraged readers to donate to the America Red Cross.

For Rent Media Solutions is successful largely in part to the local property management companies that believe in our products. What better way to show our appreciation to our local clients and end users, then to service the communities in which we operate.
