Promised Refund Still Not Returned After 6 Months
I had a very disappointing experience with Crystal House management.
Due to an error on their leasing website, a workforce housing unit was incorrectly listed as a regular market-rate apartment. Because of this mistake, I submitted the wrong application and was charged a $250 application fee along with a $50 screening fee.
Management later acknowledged in email that this was their system error and confirmed that the full $300 would be refunded.
However, it has now been more than 6 months and... I still have not received the refund. I have sent multiple follow-up emails and nobody responds anymore.
What is most frustrating is not just the mistake itself, but the complete lack of accountability and communication afterward. Once the payment was collected, it became nearly impossible to get any response or resolution.
I strongly recommend future applicants document everything carefully before applying.
