When looking at Austin, Texas apartments, don’t forget to consider the up and coming Second Street District. This area is located between Town Lake and the downtown Austin area. Here you’ll find 225,000 square feet of retail stores, dining options and living areas in addition to entertainment as well.

This area has been described as "eclectic" and "modern urban" in its style and the hip, new feel is bringing people in to set up house. Two new art projects are going on in the area; The Springs Project and The Medallion Project. The Springs Project will highlight water features and street decorating projects that will be designed by artists. The Medallion Project will have artists at the helm as well, and it will include incorporating materials like bronze, glass and stone into various symbols that will be included on the sidewalk area.

The Second Street District is positioned well to become a very popular place. The new artistic designs that will be included in the atmosphere of the area will most certainly add to its appeal and style as well. This will all combine to create a great mixed-use area that will become a vibrant neighborhood and great place to be.
