Are there some good places to live in the southwest area outside Houston?

If you are considering apartments in Southwest Houston, you may want to look at other cities in the area as well. Some of the towns just outside the main section of the downtown area have a great deal of appeal, as well as smaller populations and affordable housing. Located in Fort Bend County, Sugar Land is about 20 miles outside of Houston. This town has experienced rapid growth and currently has a population of over 60,000 people.

Meadows Place is another good pick with a good educational system and over 12 acres of developed park land. The community of Stafford is also in this region. With a population of between 16,000 and 17,000 people, it is a smaller town, but most of the cities in this region have experienced steady growth and stand ready to expand even more. The location just outside of Houston makes them a desirable place to live, so renting in the area makes sense as well.
