Are there suburbs worth investigating in the Houston area?

April 25, 2012 | 0 Comments

If you are thinking about going to Houston, moving to one of the neighboring communities can be something that you may want to check into as well. Towns such as Rosenberg and Richmond are close to the city center, yet still retain a more suburban feel. Both of these cities are right by Brazos Bend State Park, giving residents access to a lovely natural area, and each town has a unique appeal that is far different than that of the larger towns in the area.

Richmond has tree-lined streets and a neighborhood appeal. Home to the George Memorial Library and the George Observatory, there is plenty to do in town. Located just 15 miles to the southwest of Houston, it has easy access to all the big city amenities. This is also true for Rosenberg which is a historic town with numerous parks and antique shops. Visit First, Second and Third streets in town and you can find over 100 stores that deal in antiques, in addition to other stores.
