Where can I find a Cleveland neighborhood close to cultural attractions?

Just four miles east of downtown is the University Circle, the cultural heart of Cleveland. The area has more cultural and performing-arts institutions within one square mile than anywhere else in the United States. It’s situated around the campus of Case Western Reserve University.

The neighborhood is the major employment center in Cleveland, with more than 30,000 people working there every day. It is home to many cultural, educational, and medical institutions, including the Cleveland Museum of Natural History, the Cleveland Institute of Art, and the Cleveland Botanical Garden.

University Circle has large open public spaces and parks, offering everything from ice skating on The Rink at Wade Oval in the winter to summer concerts, gardens, a nature center, and more.

There are restaurants, cafes, and coffeeshops in the neighborhood offering many cultural and ethnic tastes and catering to almost any budget. There are also interesting shops and nightspots.

In the summer, Wednesdays are Wade Oval Wednesdays, when residents and visitors enjoy an evening of discounted admissions, free concerts, and more.

Rentals in the University Circle area range from studios to three-bedroom units. Prices are about average for other apartments in downtown Cleveland.
