Where can I find a small-town feel without being too far from downtown Cleveland?

Southeast of downtown Cleveland are several smaller communities that have a lot to offer.

In the center of Aurora is its historic district, listed on the National Register of Historic Places. It was also the site of Sea World of Ohio, which is now a water park. The city has over 1,100 acres of park land with amenities like exercise trails, fishing lakes, sports fields, and nature trails.

Just fifteen minutes from downtown Cleveland is Garfield Heights. Known as the “City of Homes”, Garfield Heights has not only built a strong community for its residents, it has created a successful partnership between residents and businesses that has both fueled growth and enabled the city to continue to expand the services and activities it offers without raising the city income tax rate since 1983.

The city of Brecksville is at the center of Cuyahoga County, giving it easy access to the entire area. One-third of the city is park land, giving residents a wealth of natural beauty as well as fitness trails, picnicking, horseback riding, golf, and more.

Apartments in Southeast Cleveland range from one-bedroom to three-bedroom units. Rents are slightly higher than the average for the greater Cleveland area.
