How can I get around in Fort Myers?

Fort Myers apartments have access to a variety of transportation options, and what you use will depend on where you need to go. There are 17 fixed bus routes in the city, so traveling from one point to another can be convenient if they fall somewhere on the route—which many places do. Public transportation is provided by LeeTran and it runs from 5 am to 9:45 pm. There is limited service on Sundays. If you are moving to the area you should be aware that buses don’t run on major holidays such as Labor Day or Christmas.

Since the weather tends to be nice in this area all year long, many people will opt to walk short distances. If you are going to one of the area beaches you may be able to take a trolley. There is a "park and ride" service offered from 6:30 am to 9:25 pm every day of the week. For those that need to travel out of the area, Southwest Florida International Airport is located just southeast of Fort Myers. Getting around here is pretty easy, and between the bus and trolley system, you can get pretty much anywhere you need to go.
