If you are looking at apartment rentals, Houston is a city that is easy to navigate. With plenty of transportation options, those working in the downtown area should have no trouble getting around. METRORail provides a ride for those living in the city center who need to commute to the Reliant Park area for work. The red line is another rail option that runs 7.5 miles and stops at various points in the city.

Bus service is also available in Houston. The local service is primarily a city street route, but there are also park-and-ride options. Houston has a flat taxi fare of $6 for any rides in the downtown area of the city, which makes taking a cab an affordable option. There are also 30,000 rental cars in the city. The ringed highway system provides for easy car travel from one section of town to another, as well as to outlying areas. There are a number of freeways and expressways that serve the region.
