Bordered by Bellevue, Newcastle, Kent and Tukwila, and situated on the shore of Lake Washington, the town of Renton is located 13 miles southeast of Seattle. LIke most areas in and around Seattle, Renton offers spectacular views of mountain vistas and sparkling waterways, while giving residents a hometown atmosphere and affordable housing.

As for the economy, Renton is home to many large and prestigious companies. The first IKEA store in the Pacific Northwest is found in Renton, not to mention Boeing, several dot-com companies, and branches of the Federal Reserve Bank and Federal Aviation Administration.

Those looking for apartments in Renton who happen to be sports fans might be interested to know that north Renton is home to the Seattle Seahawks main office and training facility. The second largest facility in the NFL, the 200,000 square foot Virginia Mason Athletic Center is state of the art.

Community involvement and communication is a large part of what makes Renton so welcoming, much like other suburban areas outside metropolitan Seattle. The city website, www.rentonwa.gov, offers useful information about neighborhood programs, job opportunities, community and city services and much more.
