Is there a college town in the Lansing area?

The city of East Lansing is home to Michigan State University. This gives the area a lively "college-town" vibe. The downtown section of the city is packed with art galleries, retail stores and entertainment venues, as well as a mix of restaurants. East Lansing also hosts several annual festivals, such as the Great Lakes Folk Festival in August and the Lansing Art Festival in May. Other events here center around music, and the downtown area seems to always have something going on in the summertime. The Summer Solstice Jazz Festival in June is the perfect example.

Tree-lined streets and a vibrant nightlife are just two of many things that make apartments in East Lansing a popular choice. In addition, the cost of living is less than the national average, which adds to the appeal of the area. There are four neighborhoods in the area: Bailey, Central, Red Cedar and Southeast Marble, each offering their own atmosphere. The Central neighborhood is the closest to all of the city’s amenities and is within walking distance to the MSU campus.
