What are my choices if I don’t want to live in downtown Memphis?

In terms of "connected" Memphis Tennessee rentals, you can’t do much better than living downtown, but that type of lifestyle is not for everyone. If you prefer a more quiet, suburban area there are plenty of other places that you can go, without sacrificing too much in terms of amenities. If you choose one of the Memphis suburbs, you can have access to the city while still living in a place where you know your neighbors. If you want to live in Tennessee, you shoud look to the north or east of Memphis, as the south and west are both very close to the border of the state.

Those who would consider living in Mississippi can choose from a variety of towns across the border, such as Olive Branch or Horn Lake. The commute from here isn’t bad and towns in this region are well-connected to both Memphis and the surrounding area. Compared to other big cities, there is a bit less to choose from in the region in terms of suburban living, but the places that are around offer a terrific alternative to downtown living, as well as plenty of rental opportunities. If you like that type of lifestyle, be sure and check out the surrounding area for apartments.
