What are some areas that are just to the north of San Antonio’s city center?

If you are searching for apartments in north central San Antonio, areas such as Alamo Heights or Olmos Park are both good places to look. Right in the heart of the metropolitan area, both of these cities make a great spot to live if you like a more upscale atmosphere. Olmos Park is a lovely area with many fine homes and a network of tree-lined streets. There is a small apartment district in town that has about 250 units. You may want to inquire about availability here, as rentals can be a bit tricky to find. Four parks grace the area and there is also dining and shopping available.

Alamo Heights is just to the north of Olmos Park. With a location just 4.5 miles from the heart of San Antonio, living in this area is also quite desirable. The advantage of living in either one of these cities is obvious–access and comfort. Not only does each area have things to offer right in town, but nearly anything you could want is just a short trip away in San Antonio. With all of the big-city pleasures nearby, those living in rental units in Olmos Park or Alamo Heights don’t have to worry about traveling very far to get to a salon–or to have a night on the town.
