If you are looking for apartments in north suburbs of Detroit, such as Rochester, Rochester Hills or Pontiac, be sure and take a peek at a few of the other cities in the region as well. Auburn Hills is one of the neighboring suburbs that can also make a great place to live in this area of Michigan. A community located near I-75, this town is a great place to rent for those who commute to the downtown Detroit area, and it is a bit smaller than other suburbs in the region. If you appreciate that type of atmosphere be sure and consider rentals in this area in addition to the larger suburbs.

Together the cities of Rochester and Rochester Hills have a population of approximately 80,000 people, making them both a nice place to live if you like a mid-sized town. Pontiac is similar in size, with about 66,000 residents. There are some nice natural areas in this region that you can enjoy, including Clinton River, Sylvan Lake, Crystal Lake and Galloway Lake. All of these towns are also close enough to downtown Detroit to enjoy the amenities such as shows, dining, museums and nightlife.
