What are statistics related to population, and rental unit prices and availability in Oklahoma City?

Oklahoma City has the largest population of any city in the state, with over 500,000 people residing there. The next closest isn’t even close—Tulsa is estimated at under 400,000 residents. All those people have to live somewhere, and with ample apartments for rent, Oklahoma City has what you need.

According to statistics from City-Data.com, the largest number of apartments in the area have three to five rooms, meaning you can count on having some living space outside your bedroom. One and two bedroom units are most common. Single room apartments, or studios, are much less common in the OKC area.

Estimates from 2007 breaking down rental prices in Oklahoma City show that the largest number of renters paid between $450 and $500 for their place. $400 to $449 and $500 to $549 were the price ranges that came in a close second. A relatively small number of rental units went for over $1,200.
