If you’re searching for apartments, Detroit, Michigan can be a wonderful place to look. For an area that has a good mix of trendy spots and historical value, you may want to consider moving your focus out a bit to the Dearborn area. Located just west of Detroit, this area has the largest Arab population in the United States. It is also home to the relatively new Arab American National Museum, a 38,500 square foot building that is decorated with blue Moroccan tile.

The Henry Ford is also located in Dearborn—Michigan’s number one tourist spot. This museum/entertainment complex is right next to the Automotive Hall of Fame; another nod to the history of the area. Besides a wealth of information on our American past, this area is also known for its eclectic mix of stores and dining venues. Michigan Avenue has antiques, collectibles and other fun shops, as well as some excellent restaurants serving everything from Vietnamese food to pizza. Dearborn is a fun place to visit and it can also make a great place to live.
