What is downtown Baltimore like?

April 25, 2012 | 0 Comments

Apartments in downtown Baltimore can fit almost any taste, but one thing that most areas of the city have in common is a sense of American history. Statues, monuments and museums abound in the downtown area, paying tribute to historic figures and significant events in our nation’s past. Many buildings in the downtown area have stood the test of time to become historic landmarks. It seems that history is around every corner in one form or another.

From the Pulaski monument at Patterson Park to the Thurgood Marshall Statue at the corner of Pratt and Sharp, the many statues and sculptures in the area help add to the overall atmosphere of downtown. Baltimore has even been nicknamed the "Monumental City" because of all of the figures that have been erected over time. Museums are also plentiful here, and are dotted across the city. The Baltimore Museum of Art, National Museum of Dentistry, Fire Museum of Maryland and many others offer more glimpses into American history.
