Hillsborough County is on the west-central coast of Florida. The largest county in Florida, approximately 1,200,000 people live here. Tampa is the largest city in this area, but you can also find towns such as Temple Terrace and Plant City if you prefer a smaller community. Plant City, home of the annual Strawberry Festival, has a population of nearly 35,000 people and it is about 25 miles east of Tampa. Temple Terrace, surrounded by lush orange groves, is a city of about 24,000 people and it has a great location near I-4, I-75, and I-275. This makes it easy to get to Tampa, St. Petersburg or even Orlando.

Apartments in Hillsborough County can be found in all three of these cities, but there are other places that you can look as well. Carrollwood, Northdale, Lutz and Riverview are other towns to look into. Students at the University of Tampa may want to consider renting in one of these towns, as many of them have good proximity to the school. Wherever you choose to rent in Hillsborough County, you will have easy access to the Gulf Mexico and its miles of warm, sandy beaches, as well as the area’s natural beauty and abundant entertainment options.
