What is it like in the area north of Atlanta?

Some Atlanta apartments in north, Dunwoody/Roswell/Alpharetta areas are worth a bit of investigation. Located just outside the city center, any one of these towns can be a good solution if you are looking for something near the downtown area but prefer a more suburban lifestyle. Dunwoody is a lovely city that offers good shopping at the Perimeter Mall, as well as a nature center and a community college. Georgia Perimeter College has a campus here as well. Roswell is located just 20 miles from Atlanta, and it has a population of over 87,000. This means the city itself has many amenities, including a lovely historic district, a nature center and a thriving arts community. Also in this region, Alpharetta is home to over 50,000 people, but this number increases to over 120,000 during the day when you count those who are working and visiting the area. With over 150 restaurants and award-winning parks, there is plenty to do in this city.
