What is it like on the northside of OKC?

April 25, 2012 | 0 Comments

The Northside area of Oklahoma City is made up of several districts with distinctive personalities, just like the state itself.

The Adventure District is where visitors will find the major attractions OKC has to offer. These include The Oklahoma City Zoo and Botanical Garden, Science Museum Oklahoma, and Remington Park Racetrack and Casino. Nichols Hill is the upscale part of town, with gourmet restaurants, exclusive country clubs, and fancy homes. Mayfair, Belle Isle, and Quail Springs are the middle class suburbs and home to major area employers such as Mercy Health System, Farmers Insurance Group and AlaMode Software Systems.

If you’re looking to live in North OKC, apartments range in price depending on the district. For example, Quail Springs units are priced around $660 for one-bedroom, $830 for two. Listings under Nichols Hill are generally in the same price range. But there are also some North OKC listings that start around $300 per month for single bedroom units, with two- or three- bedroom units being priced in the upper $400 and $500 ranges, respectively.
