What is Jersey City like?

If you are searching for rentals, New Jersey has some great places to consider. One popular city in the region is Jersey City, home of the Statue of Liberty—one of the nation’s most important landmarks. This town is filled with American history, and you can experience it everywhere from the Historic Downtown District to the Jersey City Museum. The Waterfront District is a great place to relax and enjoy the scenery along the Hudson River, and Ellis Island is only a short ferry trip away.

Although Jersey City is home to over 240,000 people, it is far from an urban jungle. There is plenty of green space in this town—1,500 acres of it, to be exact. Liberty State Park boasts some breathtaking views, and Leonard Gordon Park offers up some large sculptures. Swimming and boating are popular activities in the area since there is easy access to the water, and there are also tennis courts and hiking trails available for recreation on land. Jersey City can make a great place to rent an apartment, as it has such a nice combination of natural surroundings and urban amenities. Other cities in the area include Bayonne, Kearny and Union City.
