What is Lakewood like?

Lakewood, NJ has a population of just over 60,000 people. Near the coast, this township is near cities such as Point Pleasant, Toms River and Belmar, to name a few. It is also right by two major roadways—one going to the north and south, and the other running to the west, so getting around is easy. Although this isn’t a particularly large city, it has much to offer.

There are several lovely parks in this region, and many of them are near the water, so additional recreational activities are available. Lake Shenendoah County Park and Ocean County Park No. 1 are two prime examples. In the local parks you will find everything from playgrounds to paddle boats. There are also several golf courses in the area. Cultural sites include Lakewood Heritage Commission Museum, Sister Mary Grace Arboretum and the Strand Theater. Lakewood is a great community if you are searching for a rental property with easy access to water, as well as a nice overall atmosphere.
