What is Longmont like?

The city of Longmont is located in Boulder County and has an elevation of approximately 4,979 feet. With a population of over 80,000 people, it is not a particularly small town, but it is not overly large either. Primarily a residential city, Longmont has a variety of housing options. Single-family homes are common, but there are condominiums, town homes, multi-family homes and apartments in Longmont as well.

Apartments in Boulder County are a great place to set up residence, as the town is a mere 37 miles from Denver and 16 miles from Boulder. Just like many Aurora apartments, if you pay attention, you just may get a place with a view of the Rocky Mountains. Longmont sits right at the base of this great mountain range.

There are over 1,500 parks in the area, so it is a great city to live in if outdoor activity is something you enjoy. Avid skiers will love the fact that there are 29 ski areas within easy driving distance of Longmont. There are also many special events in town each year, such as the yearly "Pet & Doll Parade" in June and the "Concert in the Park" series that is held every summer.
