What is Mission Bay like?

If you love the water and are looking for rentals, San Diego areas such as Mission Bay are the perfect place to look. Even if you can’t live right in town, finding an apartment nearby will give you access to one of the most amazing water areas in the state. Mission Bay Park offers 4,600 acres of space and it is the biggest park like this in the entire world. Here you will find SeaWorld San Diego, the Mission Bay Golf Course and Practice Center and the San Diego Visitor Information Center, along with plenty of other things to do and see.

There is a campground and RV park here, as well as 27 miles of walking paths and several wildlife preserves. Bird watchers will have fun looking for the great blue heron or the lightfooted clapper rail in this area. There are also a number of special events here each year, such as the San Diego Crew Classic and the Thunderboat Regatta. Water activities include sailing, waterskiing, kayaking, swimming, boating and fishing. Mission Bay Park is truly an oasis of recreational opportunity, and if you enjoy multiple outdoor activities, renting an apartment in this area is a great idea.
