What is near Sarasota?

Sarasota, Florida apartments have the advantage of being in a prime location on the southwestern coast. There are so many things that you can do within just a short drive of this city, and if you are up for a day trip, you can add even more to the list. Sarasota is close to places such as St. Petersburg and Tampa. The Tampa Bay Area is known as one of the most attractive tourist regions in the state. Bradenton is just north of Sarasota, and Venice is just a short drive to the south.

If you want to go to the towns of Port Charlotte or Punta Gorda, they are nearby. Fort Myers, Cape Coral and Naples are within reach as well. If you have some time you can also head down to Everglades National Park, which is at the southern tip of the state. There is a lot to see at this park and it makes a great day trip. If you want to head inland, you can get to Lake Okeechobee from Sarasota, but if you prefer, the beaches on the Gulf of Mexico are also a great place to experience the water. Sarasota’s great location is one of the main reasons to consider renting an apartment in town.
