If you are hoping to live in the area south of Lansing, you may want to consider homes or apartments in Holt/Mason. Holt is the closer of the two, and it is an unincorporated section that is located in the Charter Township of Delhi. An area with a rural atmosphere, it is centrally located to all the amenities that Lansing has to offer, while still retaining a country feel. There are eight parks, a variety of service clubs, several shopping areas and more than seventeen churches. The township has a population of over 25,000 people.
Mason is located 10 miles south of Lansing and is well-known for having a wonderful antiques district. The downtown square area is historic and features some interesting architecture, including the county courthouse which was built in 1903 and recently renovated. The town has a population of just over 7,000 people. The Hayhoe Riverwalk and the city’s park system add to its appeal, and there are several new initiatives that are being worked on that include developments such as baseball and soccer fields. These two neighborhoods aren’t as far south as towns like Jackson, Cadmus and Adrian, so they are still very convenient to downtown Lansing.
