Glendale is a city in the West Valley area, and it is located just to the west of downtown Phoenix. With a healthy arts community, good shopping and plenty of outdoor recreation opportunities, if you are looking for an Arizona rental, this town is worth some consideration. The downtown Glendale area boasts a lovely shopping and dining district at 59th Avenue and Glendale Avenue. This area draws people from miles around, but it isn’t the only thing that the town has to offer. Glendale has invested in the arts and culture scene, and they have an arts commission as well as a newsletter dedicated to related events and programs in the city. The town also has a public art program and a grant program for the performing arts. Westgate City Center is another draw in Glendale. With a location in the middle of the entertainment district, the calendar of events at the Center is ever-changing and always interesting. Other towns in this area are Tolleson and Avondale.
