Since it is the largest city in Marion County, apartments in Ocala area are not very difficult to find. Located to the northwest of Orlando and south of Gainesville, this town is a great choice if you want to live in Florida. It is close to Ocala National Forest, which means countless recreation opportunities are right next door. Another perk is that it is situated near Orlando, Tampa and Daytona Beach, so all of these areas are within just a short drive of the city. This means you can be at the beach or a theme park in no time at all.

Ocala is surrounded by numerous horse farms, making it a perfect place to live for those who love these animals. There are over 600 farms in the area, and both Kentucky Derby winners and other national champions have been raised on this land. This region of the state is also known for Silver Springs Nature Theme Park, which offers both residents and visitors rides in glass-bottomed boats to view the variety of sea creatures that frequent the waters. There are also plenty of opportunities for entertainment and dining in town, making this a well-rounded place to live.
