What is the Oregon District like?

Those who enjoy a bustling, historic area with plenty to do may want to look for Dayton, Ohio rental homes and apartments in the Oregon District of the city. Known for its architecture, in this area of town you will find a mixture of different styles, including Gothic and Classic Revival. It was founded approximately 170 years ago, making it Dayton’s oldest neighborhood. Newcom Founders Park provides a gathering place for residents to enjoy and there are many shops and businesses to visit in the area. In addition, a variety of summer picnics are held in the district each summer. These are open to residents and their guests for a nominal charge. Located in the southeast section of the city, the Oregon District is easy to get to via I-75. The streets that border the district include State Route 35 on the south end, Fifth Street on the north end, Patterson Boulevard to the west and Wayne Avenue to the east. Businesses in the area consist of restaurants, antique stores, retail stores and other fun shops. This district is a must-see for those who come to town and a great spot to find a rental unit.
