About 15 miles north of Dayton is the town of Union, which has a population of about 6,000 people. The city area is 5.7 square miles and it is located in Montgomery County. There are a multitude of new home developments here such as Clemmens Cove, located in the middle of the city, and Mill Ridge Village, a community for those 55 years of age and older. Those looking for a Dayton, Ohio rental that is close to the downtown area, yet removed enough to feel suburban, may find that Union is the perfect spot. The Dayton International Airport is only four miles east of Union, which is great news for those who travel frequently. Also, the bus service offered by the Miami Valley Regional Transit Authority (MVRTA) makes getting around in the area convenient. Those looking for nearby educational institutions will find a good selection. Wright State University, the University of Dayton and Sinclair Community College are all within a 30 minute drive, and those with children will appreciate the stellar school system that Union offers in town.
