If you want to live near San Antonio, Texas, you may want to consider the town of Three Rivers as a possibility. This city is located to the south of its much larger neighbor, but it is still within easy driving distance. Three Rivers is a comfortable community of approximately 2,000 people, and if you like a small-town atmosphere, you should be very happy in this town. The quaint Rialto Theater is a two-screen cinema that has been around since 1948, and there are plenty of other opportunities for fun in the city as well.

Fans of outdoor recreation will appreciate the climate here, and nearby Choke Canyon sets the stage for hours of fun in the sun. Wildflowers are abundant in this area and make quite an appearance in the spring. Rodeos, fairs and festivals are all part of the charm here, and the annual Salsa Festival is one of the highlights of the year. This gathering takes place in the town square and it includes entertainment, food and arts and crafts. The centerpiece of the festival is a fabulous salsa-making contest with a cash prize. This small town knows how to do it up right, and it is close to the big city.
