If you don’t want to live in Orlando, Florida, apartments are available in the areas surrounding the city as well. Just to the north you will find the lovely town of Winter Park, and it can be a great place to search for rentals. Winter Park has a fairly small population of close to 29,000 people, and it is within a very short distance of Orlando. This makes it ideal for those who need to go to the city for work, but who want to live in an area with more of a community feel.

Located in Orange County, Winter Park is quite the picture of small-town charm. With tree-lined streets that are made of brick, many park areas and beautiful surroundings, this city has managed to retain its beauty while expanding. There are lakes in the area that residents can enjoy, but the town itself has plenty of amenities. Park Avenue boasts some terrific shopping, and there are many outdoor festivals and events that take place throughout the year. Central Park is a popular spot in the city, and each year the Winter Park Sidewalk Art Festival is held there. It draws about 250,000 people from many miles around. Rollins College is located in town, and it is known as the oldest college in Florida.
