Where can I find a slower pace of life in the Columbus area without feeling isolated?

Just west of the downtown Columbus area there are several small townships and villages; perfect for those looking for a slower pace of life while still being close to everything the city has to offer. They offer a rural feel with all the amenities of modern life.

The village of Grove City is considered one of the safest suburbs of Columbus. It features an historic downtown area that plays host to annual events such as the Arts In The Alley celebration. The village has two areas listed on the National Register of Historic Places, the Gantz Homestead and the A.G. Grant Homestead. Grove City is also the home of the Columbus Comets, a women’s professional football team; the Gap, Inc. online processing center; and the Beulah Park horse racing track.

Apartments in West Columbus range from studios to three-bedroom units. Rents are affordable; prices are generally a bit lower than average for the greater Columbus area.
