Where can I find the best food in the South Sound?

While looking for South Sound apartments, consider the town of Gig Harbor.

Gig Harbor is less than an hour away from both Tacoma and Seattle. Although it only has a population of 6,465, the small city is home to some of the best dining in the South Sound area. Here are just a few examples:

Sip Wine Bar
4793 Point Fosdick Drive N.W.
With a giant selection of award-winning wine and divine dishes, Sip Wine Bar is a favorite of South Sound wine enthusiasts. Come in for happy hour between 4:30 and 6:30 p.m., or try 9 p.m. and 11 p.m. for full-glass pours at half price.

Tides Tavern
2925 Harborview Drive
Enjoy one of the eighteen different varieties of Tides’ cold draught beers. But don’t leave before biting into one of their amazing beer-battered fish filets.

Blazing Onion
4701 Point Fosdick Drive N.W.
If red meat is more your thing, the Blazing Onion is one of the South Sound’s best burger joints. Bite into a 1/3-pound classic burger, or try their namesake, The Blazing Onion Burger. If you’re daring, make it a triple XL: a sky-high triple stack of two-pound burgers.
