Denver housing varies from large, single-family homes in Highland to quiet southeast Denver apartments. The Capitol Hill area of the city is a very popular spot to rent, due to its proximity to many of the businesses in town, as well as the availability of apartments there. Nearly everything you could possibly need is close by, and transportation is convenient and plentiful. A historic area with a very wide range of housing options, you can find posh apartments in southeast Denver, or just functional, basic studios.
The Colorado State Capitol is located here, and there are several historic districts in the Capitol Hill neighborhood. Even so, condominiums and apartments make up the lion’s share of housing available in the area. There are a few retail and commercial districts here making grocery stores, restaurants and other places easily accessible on foot. The Vance Kirkland Museum, Fillmore Auditorium and the Ogden Theater are all popular spots in the neighborhood, and Chessman Park calls the Capitol Hill neighborhood home.
