On the north side of the Missouri River lies North Kansas City, a community that offers a small-town feel just three miles away from the cultural and recreational activities in downtown Kansas City.

This city prides itself on being dedicated to health and fitness. Residents enjoy many different outdoor activities and sports. There are six parks containing walking trails, tennis courts, and playgrounds.

Maken Park hosts Fridays In The Park, with free concerts every Friday afternoon during the summer. Residents can also enjoy jazz, classic cars, and original artwork May through September at the Northtown Art Market, featured in North Kansas City’s Second Saturdays.

The thriving downtown retail district is home to many shops and restaurants as well as the community center and library. A major attraction in town is Harrah’s Hotel & Casino, which features nightclubs, concert venues, and restaurants.
