If you love the water, Fort Lauderdale may be just the perfect place to find a rental in south Florida. Known as the "Venice of America" because of its large canal system, you can take a tour in a water taxi to get an overview of the different areas of the city. Whether you are looking for one of the apartments in downtown Fort Lauderdale or something more along the lines of Wilton Manors or Oakland Park, this southeast coastal city is a great place to vacation–and a terrific spot to live.

Fort Lauderdale has a population of approximately 180,000 people, making it a nice-sized city with all the amenities that you would expect from a town this size. The seventh largest city in the state, you can find arts, culture, dining and more without going through a lot of trouble. Located between Palm Beach and Miami, there is plenty to do in this area of the state. Sunshine, sub-tropical temperatures and terrific scenery make outdoor activities extremely popular here, and Fort Lauderdale Beach is famous around the world. Finding a rental property should be no problem for those who are drawn to this part of the state.
