Highlands Trail Apartments

I absolutely love living here at Highlands Trail Apartments. Diane and Jodi are awesome managers that immediately fix any minor issue that we have, and are extremely responsive. Billy is a super friendly and helpful mechanic that is quick to fix any issues we have, which are few. The pond is beautiful and clean along with fish and turtles that will come up to bank to eat some treats. The prices are affordable, and will not break the bank. This is by far the best apartment Dothan has to offer!

I just have to brag about our apartment complex! We have lived at a couple different places in Dothan over the years and this is the BEST by far!! Obviously, the beautiful blue sparkling pond right next to the pool is just amazing, but also it is super peaceful here. The pond has fish, turtles, and the bird that flies in every morning to have his breakfast. It’s just such a joy and we couldn’t be happier. It is super quiet and what we really love is how well the apartments are taken care of.… Diane and the team are amazing and we couldn’t ask for any better people to take care of our home and our community. When we get ready to buy a home and have to leave, I’m going to be very sad and we will miss our home here at Highland trails very much! Horrible apartments that are outdated in every way. Multiple soft spots in the floor, terrible appliances, and bad insulation that will make you run the AC or heat all day. I always dreaded going to the rental office to get packages due to the staff. I will say that the maintenance guy is very friendly and helpful though. Upon move out, I had a inspection and was told that the charges would be minimal (needed new oven burner covers, new set of blinds, and carpet cleaning for the bedrooms). Now I… receive a letter charging $720 to replace carpet and other issues they didnt mention, conveniently after I am away and cant dispute in person. Please do not move here. The photographer’s did a great job to make this place seem like its worth the price. There is no pictures inside the actual aparments for a reason. The applicances are old, the cabinets are damaged with a strange green countertop, and there are soft spots everywhere in the floor. Definitely not what was expected for the price point.
The staff is extremely overbearing and judgy. I dreaded going into the office to settle any problem with them. There are also random rules in the lease that make no… sense. I would highly suggest that you skip this apartment. Read More
