100 York Apartments

I’d been here for one month…

1st week the stove and microwave was not working due to electrical issues….

Of course the wall had to be torn out to be fixed the following week. The wall looks like a kid plastered it.

Heat doesn’t work. Going back and forth to get my radiator bleed for a month now. They sent someone out the 3 week of me being here and he doesn’t understand English. Seen the supervisor and he came in to see why the radiator wasn’t blowing out heat. He said he would tell the... office and nothing.

I’d been going back and forth until last week and nothing. It feels like I’m sitting in the parking lot on my living room set.

Others complain about leaks in their ceilings in their kids rooms, closet doors are not properly secured, water backed up in their bathroom (tub and toilet) and no heat as well in their apartment. Some people were over charged for things.

Elevators breaks down all the time. One building has 4 elevators (1 a freight elevator that remains down) and the other has 3 elevators (breaks down all the time).

Someone moved out last week and said that the past 4 years they tried to have hope with the management improvement and nothing. They switch property ownership or management all the time.

I say if you want to live under these conditions, come. It’s not recommended though. I see, hear and hold conversations with people that speaks very low about these apartments. I went to see an apartment under the premise, as advertised, washer and dryers in our homes. I asked a representative before going to view, if the apartment had a washer and dryer, and I was told the 2 BDR, 2 BATH apartments do. I see the first apartment, no washer or dryer. I am then brought to see a "loft" apartment, which was nice; however, when I got home and talked with my husband, I said to him, the bedrooms do not have any windows. Being that I am disabled, and with further thought, I... asked if they could accommodate my disability and install a washer and dryer. I was told no; the pipes can't handle it above the 2nd floor. I said this isn;t going to work and they refused to give me back my $500 security deposit and then told me since I was unapproved for insufficient funds I would get it returned. Everyone experience here is different. But my experience here has been great . Honestly I have no complaints to be honest. I have a beautiful loft all hard-wood flooring 2bedroom 2 bath and washer & dryer . I have over 10ft ceilings and huge windows beautiful open layout. Any minor issues I have had their always address in a timely manor . Im going on year 3 here I plan to stay until I’m ready to purchase a home. Rent here is very reasonable for this area close to everything and safe... neighborhood. Be mindful the owners are fairly new so it’s been a work in progress but I love the upgrades and renovations ! **THIS IS THE WORST APARTMENT COMPLEX EVER!!** Honestly, if I could give it negative stars, I probably would. I have lived here with my family for three years, and I have encountered numerous problems.

The first issue arose when we moved in; they showed us the main building and then immediately took us to the dilapidated building. *When I say "dilapidated," I mean it.* My father has caught around 600 mice during our time here. The rodent and insect problem is atrocious and disgusting. The... windows are poorly sealed, and the paint job is so shoddy that cracks and pieces constantly fall into the shower.

We also experience frequent false fire alarms. My kitchen sink has been broken and fixed intermittently for the past three months. They promised big changes to the building, but after a year, those changes are still nonexistent. They started some painting jobs, but they look terrible, and the worn carpets really need to be replaced. To make matters worse, the basement walls are covered in mold, and they just started painting over it!?

The main building might look better at first glance, but it's not. Recently, the building flooded so badly that it took days to clean up.

**WORST PLACE EVER!** If I could give MINUS STARS, I WOULD. I lived here as a Drexel student for 2 years, and cried so many times. Windows ARE NOT SEALED, bins are FULL OF MICE, and the pest problem is SEVERE—roaches, mice, bugs, spiders, you name it. The heating vents smelled awful. Property managers LIE—promised a pool, but it was rarely open. HALLWAYS STINK, only ONE WORKING ELEVATOR for the entire building. Moving out was a nightmare and Ofcourse no electricity on same days. Maintenance and... management? Management never follows up or checks the job. They mart it completed. ZERO coordination with maintenance. Read More
